How to Set Up an HDMI Fuser | ARCANEDMA Guide
This ARCANEDMA guide explains how to connect your HDMI fuser, check its indicator lights, and get your overlay displaying on your gaming monitor.
What You Need
Before starting, have your main gaming PC, second PC or laptop, gaming monitor, HDMI fuser, supplied power adapter, and three HDMI cables ready.
Step 1: Connect Your Main PC
Connect an HDMI cable from your gaming PC’s graphics card to the fuser’s HDMI 1 input.
If your PC has a dedicated graphics card, use its HDMI port.
Step 2: Connect Your Second PC
Connect another HDMI cable from your second PC or laptop to the fuser’s HDMI 2 input.
This connection sends your second PC’s display to the fuser.
Step 3: Connect Your Gaming Monitor
Connect the third HDMI cable from the fuser’s HDMI output to your gaming monitor.
Make sure you use the output port on the fuser. HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 are inputs for the computers.
Select the correct HDMI input using your monitor’s menu.
Step 4: Connect Power
Plug the supplied power adapter into the fuser and turn it on.
Your gaming monitor should now receive its picture through the fuser.
Step 5: Set Your Display Resolution
For an easy starting point, use 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz, provided your devices support it. Once everything works, increase the refresh rate to a setting supported by your fuser, monitor, and cables. MAKE SURE BOTH RES ARE THE SAME
On each computer, open Settings → System → Display. Select the display connected to the fuser and check its resolution.
On your second PC, make sure the overlay is displayed on the screen output connected to the fuser. If you use an extended desktop, the overlay may need to be moved onto that display.
Match your overlay’s resolution to your gaming display so it lines up correctly.
Step 6: Enable Fusion Mode
Enable fusion mode using the button assigned to that function on your fuser.
The button controls differ between the models shown in the reference images:
On the model with resolution and intensity controls, K1 changes resolution, K2 adjusts overlay intensity, K3 resets overlay intensity, and K4 switches display or fusion mode.
On the model labeled HDMI Fusion 2, K1 shows the second PC, K2 shows the main PC, K3 enables fusion, and K4 restores factory settings.
Follow the controls for your specific model.
If your fuser uses black-background removal, display the overlay against a pure black background on your second PC.
What the Indicator Lights Mean
D1 is the power indicator. It shows that the fuser is powered on.
H1 is the main PC signal indicator. It shows whether the fuser is receiving video through HDMI 1.
H2 is the second PC signal indicator. It shows whether the fuser is receiving video through HDMI 2.
D2 is the fusion indicator. It shows whether fusion mode is enabled on the illustrated models.
Common Fuser Setup Problems
Black Screen
Check that your monitor is connected to the fuser’s HDMI output and has the correct HDMI input selected. Confirm that the fuser has power and that the main PC is sending a signal.
If the screen stays black, try a lower supported resolution and refresh rate.
Main PC Displays, but the Overlay Is Missing
Check the second PC’s HDMI connection and H2 indicator. Confirm that fusion mode is enabled and that your overlay is displaying on the output connected to the fuser.
For models with black-background removal, check the background color and adjust overlay intensity if necessary.
Overlay Is Misaligned
Make sure your overlay canvas matches the gaming display’s resolution. Check Windows display scaling and your overlay application’s positioning settings.
Screen Flickers
Try a lower supported refresh rate. Check that every HDMI cable and device in the connection supports your selected display mode.
